We both agreed in 2002 that this was perhaps the weakest of the tracks ... one reason it was put in the middle of the album. At the time, I tried to meld with a beautiful Mozart piece (the 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' section from ‘Variations’, shown in the song sheet). It was the intro and was reprised later, but it never reached its potential and, due to lack of time to polish it always sounded bolted on rather than natural. Mike sang the lead and we used two acoustic guitars. The new version:

• has a new intro using guitar and clay pipe (reprised later)
• uses a tight tempo
• adds percussion
• a more 'natural' arrangement/sound for the orchestral piece
• adds pipe/bottle riffs throughout
• slight but effective change of some chords to close relatives (e.g. Dm to Fma7, C to Cma7, etc.)
• a stronger end to each chorus
